Aliens Are Really Demons and Sabertooth Tigers are just Mastodons

Teacher or professor: Godless Engineer
Subject: Science, Politics
Content of the Lesson: So apparently, Aliens are definitely demons and Sabertooth tigers didn't go extinct they are really just Mastodons. I've seen this alien rhetoric when dealing with the super magical religious people. They consider the experiences of people that have been "abducted by aliens" to actually be possessed by demons. They also think that demons are to blame for bad things people do. I honestly have no idea what in the world is with the person that says Sabertooth Tigers are just Mastodons. The same person said that Velociraptors are really just Kangaroos. We also have our token flat earther complaining about planes "flaying" upside down. Obviously, planes don't fly upside down due to the fact that up and down are relative directions. Look Inside a Rattlesnake's Rattle | Deep Look

Teacher or professor: Deep Look
Subject: Biology
Content of the Lesson: A rattlesnake's rattle isn't like a maraca, with little bits shaking around inside. So how exactly does it make that sound? SUBSCRIBE to Deep Look! http://goo.gl/8NwXqt Please support us on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/deeplook Watch America From Scratch: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UClSZ6wHgU2h1W7eAGaa7cUw DEEP LOOK is a ultra-HD (4K) short video series created by KQED San Francisco and presented by PBS Digital Studios. See the unseen at the very edge of our visible world. Explore big scientific mysteries by going incredibly small. Rattlesnakes are ambush predators, relying on staying hidden to get close to their prey. They don’t sport the bright colors that some venomous snakes use as a warning to predators. Fortunately, rattlesnakes have an unmistakable warning, a loud buzz made to startle any aggressor and hopefully avoid having to bite. If you hear the rattlesnake’s rattle here’s what to do: First, stop moving! You want to figure out which direction the sound is coming from. Once you do, slowly back away. If you do get bitten, immobilize the area and don't overly exert yourself. Immediately seek medical attention. You may need to be treated with antivenom. DO NOT try to suck the venom out using your mouth or a suction device. DO NOT try to capture the snake and stay clear of dead rattlesnakes, especially the head. --- How do rattlesnakes make that buzzing sound? The rattlesnake’s rattle is made up of loosely interlocking segments made of keratin, the same strong fibrous protein in your fingernails. Each segment is held in place by the one in front and behind it, but the individual segments can move a bit. When the snake shakes its tail, it sends undulating waves down the length of the rattle, and they click against each other. It happens so fast that all you hear is a buzz and all you see is a blur. --- Why do rattlesnakes flick their tongue? Like other snakes, rattlesnakes flick their tongues to gather odor particles suspended in liquid. The snake brings those scent molecules back to a special organ in the roof of their mouth called the vomeronasal organ or Jacobson's organ. The organ detects pheromones originating from prey and other snakes. ---+ Read the entire article on KQED: https://www.kqed.org/science/1945648/5-things-you-thought-you-knew-about-rattlesnakes ---+ More Great Deep Look episodes: These Lizards Have Been Playing Rock-Paper-Scissors for 15 Million Years | Deep Look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rafdHxBwIbQ&t=5s Stinging Scorpion vs. Pain-Defying Mouse | Deep Look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-K_YtWqMro&t=35s ---+ 🏆Congratulations 🏆to the following fans for coming up with the *best* new names for the Jacobson's organ in our community tab challenge: Pigeon Fowl - "Noodle snoofer" alex jackson - "Ye Ol' Factory" Aberrant Artist - "Tiny boi sniffer whiffer" vandent nguyen - "Smeller Dweller" and "Flicker Snicker" ---+ Thank you to our Top Patreon Supporters ($10+ per month)! Bob the Science Guy: Tartaria Tuesday | The Orphan Train Movement

Teacher or professor: Bob the Science Guy
Subject: Science
Content of the Lesson: Are photos from the 1850's proof cities were uninhabited? Does the Orphan Train Movement of the late 19th and early 20th Century prove that there was a pool of child labor to clean up after the mud flood as there were no adults left to do the job? We have a look at these assertions and the history of the Orphan Train Movement. SciManDan: Numbers Guy Pulls Links From Thin Air!!

Teacher or professor: SciManDan
Subject: Science
Content of the Lesson: Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of Tinfoil Tuesday where we re-visit Marty Leeds. This time he has made some startling (and wholly incorrect) discoveries about numbers and the human body. Let's dive in... Here is Marty's original video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPNzdCarNmQ&list=WL&index=23&t=3s Dan's opinions shared in this video are supported by verified facts (whether scientific or general) and they should be treated as just that: opinions. All critique and humour are addressed to the words and actions of individuals and not to the individuals themselves, under the Act of Free Speech.

How MLMs Break the Law and Get Away with It

Teacher or professor: Genetically Modified Skeptic
Subject: Critical Thinking
Content of the Lesson: Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/GeneticallyModifiedSkeptic PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/GMSkeptic Multi-Level Marketing companies are scams. They're just pyramid schemes with a product. Beyond their financial exploitation, they also use their distributors as a means of skirting around FDA regulations. Basically, they encourage their distributors to subtly break the law and make false claims about their products, and when they're caught, all the blame goes on the distributors, not the company. Companies like Young Living Essential Oils, doTERRA, It Works!, Kyani, and Herbalife do this with their supplements constantly. The results of this can be seen on social media in the form of people who obsess over supplements instead of using real medicine. These kinds of posts are compiled in subreddits like r/antimlm and r/insanepeoplefacebook, and discussed in podcasts like Sounds Like MLM But Ok. -------------------------------------------FOLLOW------------------------------------------- Twitter: https://twitter.com/gm_skeptic Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GMSkeptic/ Discord: https://discord.gg/mzTy2Sm -Links- Sources: (1) https://www.fda.gov/downloads/AboutFD... Is God Actually All-Powerful In The Bible? || Bible Contradictions

Teacher or professor: Godless Engineer
Subject: Science, Politics
Content of the Lesson: So, is God actually all-powerful in the bible or is he a little limp at times? Of course he is all-powerful. You can do anything with god and there is nothing that is too hard for him. Also, all throughout the Old Testament God is sure to make known his powerful effects on the Israelite people. He chooses wimps and small groups of people to defeat larger, more advanced groups in order to emphasize this power. But also, God hates iron and doesn't mess around with that stuff so he can't defeat iron things. http://bibviz.com/is-god-all-powerful-evil-bible.html Subscribe to this channel: http://SubToGE.com Join the Skeptic Mafia: http://JoinSkepticMafia.com Discord Server: http://bit.ly/JoinGodlessDiscord Intro by "Gonna Go For it": https://goo.gl/1Ay1Q3

European Space Agency, ESA: Research in space for all: foams

Teacher or professor: European Space Agency, ESA
Subject: Astronautics
Content of the Lesson: Foams are ubiquitous in our daily lives: they are used to produce food, detergents and plastics. Foams are inherently unstable in gravity, because the liquid between the bubbles is pulled downwards bursting the bubbles in the process. Experiments on the International Space Station have shown that foams are more stable in microgravity because they remain wet. It has even been possible to make foams from pure water. Foam research in microgravity allows researchers to better understand the processes and calculate models in the most optimal conditions. This is leading to better production and assembly of products containing foams as well as more effective foam-suppression agents. Many industrial applications benefit from foam research and development in space: cleaning products, cosmetics, fire-fighting and medicines are just some examples. The quality, texture, taste and shelf-life of food and beverages can be enhanced – from the supermarket to the consumers’ fridge. "It is a game change for our business" says Cécile Gehin-Delval, from Nestlé Research Laboratories in Orbe, Switzerland. The step to space research is closer than you might think.
