Mike Licona recently put up a highlight where he explains why we should accept the empty tomb as a historical fact. First, he claims that since it happened in Jerusalem it would have been easy to refute if it could be. But instead, they claimed that the body was stolen. This whole idea is problematic. Another reason is that "enemies" attested to the fact that the tomb was empty. he's getting this from two second-century Christians who would have been using the Gospels. So this is legitimately not evidence but he thinks the Gospels are historically reliable for whatever reason. All of these reasons are just horrible.
