Did Jesus Have a Brother Named James? w/ C. Jay Cox || Did Jesus Exist?

Today we are discussing the idea that Jesus had a brother named James. The primary piece of evidence for this claim is in Paul's letter to the Galatians where he denotes a James as the "brother of the Lord" or "Lord's brother." My argument is that because Paul identifies everyone as a brother and a sister of the Lord that means this is just denoting someone as being a general Christian. Calling someone a brother or sister of the Lord was the original way that Christians referred to themselves. I've yet to find a convincing argument for why we should take this phrase as meaning a blood relationship rather than a fictive kinship.
