Matt Powell Lies About Cephalopod Evolution And Rafting

Content of the Lesson: Today, Matt Powell is going to lie about Cephalopod evolution and the rafting hypothesis. He starts off by lying about squids and octopi, cephalopods, by saying that scientists claim that they are genetically unique and unconnected to any living animal on earth. This Is not true what so ever. No scientist is saying this. He then goes on to talk about a somewhat recent journal article that speculates that squids and octopi are the result of an extraterrestrial seeding event that caused the Cambrian explosion. Squids and Octopi didn't diverge in their lineage till well after the Cambrian explosion so that doesn't make sense. Then the sentient cupcake goes on about how ridiculous it is that rafting occurred in the Eocene era. He doesn't understand the scientific aspects of anything that he's talking about.
