Refuting William Lane Craig's Defense of Jesus' Resurrection
Teacher or professor: Godless Engineer
Subject: Science, Politics
Content of the Lesson: Today William Lane Craig is going to defend the resurrection of Jesus by appeal to bad arguments for it. He thinks that Luke-Acts is legitimate history and he considers the Criterion of Embarrassment to be a good judge of historical events. This criterion only exists in historical Jesus studies and is not actually used in other areas. They also appeal to common claims like Paul said he was crucified and appeared risen therefore it must have happened. All around these arguments are not good arguments and are always trumped by natural explanations.
