Content of the Lesson: The War on Christmas is a 100-year-old war that was started over the separation of Church and State. The reasons why the war on Christmas started have not changed in 100 years. Every year we are faced with this imaginary war that only the Christians seem to be fighting. They are fighting this war to retain their dominance over the American identity so that everyone knows Americans are Christians. Today we take a look back at who fired the first shot in this imaginary war, what reasons they had for firing it, and how the war progressed from there.
