Debate: Did Jesus Exist? || Godless Engineer vs Jonathan McLatchie

Content of the Lesson: Today we have a debate between Jonathan McLatchie and Godless Engineer over the question "Did Jesus Exist?" Now, both McLatchie and I represent minority views in the scholarly community. He thinks that all of the epistles attributed to Paul were actually written by Paul, this is not a mainstream consensus. He also thinks that the Gospels were written by eyewitnesses which is also not a mainstream consensus. The question "Did Jesus Exist?" will not be resolved by any measure. I hope that I can cast some doubt on whether or not he did exist. The fact is we don't have any good information about his existence and what evidence we do have is quite ambiguous. While I go as far as to say that he most probably didn't exist, I agree that agnosticism should be the best position that anyone can take.
