Space Program | Technology and Spin Offs

Starting off the 'Minute of Science with Bob the Science Guy' will be a short series of videos on the benefits of the Space Program. Life is a Journey, not a Destination as the old saying goes. While the moon landings and the ISS may be seen as goals, they drove the development of many technologies that we use everyday. For example, did you know that while digital cameras were invented in the mid 1970's, it was NASA's JPL that developed the technology and digital processing of digital cameras for use on space probes and landers. This pioneering but behind the scenes work led to our personal cameras today. In the next episode, we will talk about the uses of satellites.
