* = "Ignarus" is a way better term than e.g. "idiot". The word "idiot" comes from a term originally used to describe a mentally handicapped person. In other words, it is a person who may not be responsible for their mental capacity. An "ignarus" is a person who could know better because they have the mental capacity to do so, but actively chooses otherwise, for example rejecting scientific methodology.
