Herod Kills John The Baptist || GE & KC's Daily Bible Podcast, Day 254

Last Time, healed a lot of people. He told his followers they can't follow him and care about their families. Jesus copies some miracles from the OT. Jesus then drives millions of demons into some pigs that he then killed. Jairus had his daughter resurrected and a woman was healed from 12 years of bleeding. He then effed off from Nazareth b/c he couldn't do magic. Today, Jesus is putting out a help wanted ad for apostles. In the ad, he claims that his apostles will have the power to heal, drive out spirits, and other miracles. So people signed up in droves. But he cautioned them, that they won't be able to finish their task of evangelizing to everyone before he comes...again. Jesus says he's not come to bring peace but the sword. He means to drive a wedge between family members. Then Herod explains why he killed John the Baptist. Basically, John had an unfavorable opinion about Herod marrying his sister-in-law and so the wife wanted John Dead. When her daughter was granted one wish by Herod on her birthday, she convinced her daughter to ask for the head of John the Baptist.
