Our astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti has become the new commander of the @iss, taking over from fellow Expedition 67 crew member @olegmks. Samantha is the fifth European commander of the Space Station, following in the footsteps of our previous astronauts Frank De Winne, Alexander Gerst, Luca Parmitano and Thomas Pesquet. She‘s also the first European female to occupy the position.
