The DRC: Rangers Under Fire I ARTE Documentary


Protecting gorillas is a dangerous job. These park rangers have targets on their backs. On Friday, April 24, 2020, a convoy of rangers was ambushed by an armed group inside the protected area. 13 guards and 4 civilians were killed. It's yet another painful loss for this unit which had already lost 150 men in the past 15 years of protecting the reserve.
