Storage Stars: a 17th Century Flower Tower

Welcome to our brand new storage facility: the Netherlands Collection Centre (CC NL)! To celebrate the opening, we asked location manager Wim Hoeben to find a hidden treasure in one of the depots. He invited curator Femke Diercks to tell him all about the 17th century flower pyramid Wim dug up. This is Storage Stars! 🌼🌷 CC NL brings together four important national collections, belonging to the Netherlands Open Air Museum, Het Loo Palace, the Cultural Heritage Agency (RCE) and the Rijksmuseum. Around half a million objects are stored, ranging from paintings, craftworks and furniture, to jewellery, clothing and clocks. You really can find everything here! 🌹 But the most important question: where would you put this flower tower? πŸ–Ό️ Flower pyramid, Delft, c. 1700.
