Today we take a look at Questioning Christianity's Dan attempt to prove that Jesus existed. He starts off by attempting to poison the well against mythicism. He does this by emphasizing the fringe status of mythicism as if that speaks to how reasonable the position is. We should never expect it to be a majority position in New Testament scholarship because most NT Scholars are Christians that are bound by faith. Next, he tries to suggest that the Gospels relay good historical information which is wrong. He also claims there are 42 sources for Jesus but really there is only one source who only claims he was celestial.
