Earth's drinking #water resources are dwindling and to avoid shortages, scientists will have to come to the rescue. Oceans represent 96.5% of the water on Earth; the remaining 3.5% is mainly stored in the form of ice or snow. Today only 0.3% of this "blue gold" is drinkable and directly accessible to residents. Water, our most precious resource, is becoming scarce, as global warming unbalances natural reserves. Meeting water needs, vital for humanity, is therefore a major contemporary issue. Reviewing the various avenues under study, this documentary suggests some glimmers of hope for achieving this.
