In the south of Ethiopia, in the lower Omo valley, anthropologist Anne-Sylvie Malbrancke will attend Wale's coming of age ceremony. Part of the Hamar ethnic group, at the age of 20 he's still considered a child. But he's now old enough to undergo the traditional ritual that will turn him into a man. If he fails, the young man will be mocked by the village and will not be able to marry.
