Ferry ships carry both passengers and vehicles. As defined by the Long Distance Ferry Association in Japan, 14 routes operate from Hokkaido to Kyushu and extends over 300kms. Each long distance route provides upscale facilities and services comparable to high-class hotels. We had one of the Suite rooms including dinner and breakfast service. There's also an indoor and outdoor hot springs on board which is amazing. What a lovely way to travel instead of driving.
