Whirlpool Galaxy | Live Test of Meade 10"
Tonight we are doing a full, live test of the 10" Meade Telescope, new LX200 and KStar Observatory Software. I've been using the poor weather as an excuse to test all three, using the MacbookPro rather than the old windows machine. This will stop many of the crashes and other issues. Tonight we are going to have a look at both the Whirlpool Galaxy (on the thumbnail) and the Black Eye Galaxy. If the Gods of Astronomy (Hail Sagan) are with us, we'll see some other targets with the powerful Meade and the new computerized mount. This is the first decent evening (at least for a couple of hours) in weeks, so brew some tea and join me between about 730 and 11pm and we put the new telescope and software through its paces. I want to thank my subscribers, patreons, members and those that have supported the channel with PayPal for making this possible. Info on the equipment: Optical Tube- Meade 10" SCT Mount- LX200 Autostar with George Dudash upgrades Finder and Guide- Optical Finder Scopes, Optical Guide Scope Cameras- ZWO294 (Main) and ZWO 120 on the guide scope Special Thanks to Judy, Ron and Rob for their exceptional support of the channel.
