SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/artedocumentary?sub_confirmation=1 In the villages surrounding Riga, there are ageing residents who don't drive and who depend on Leokadija and her clapped-out old van full of food to survive. In her mobile corner shop, she sells fruits, pastries, cold meats, underwear, and detergent, and then drives through the countryside for up to nine hours every day to reach underserved communities. But her van is over 30 years old, and she knows when it finally breaks down she won't be able to replace it.  Available until the 17/01/2021 ARTE Documentary is here to tell you more about what’s going on in the world of culture and current affairs with powerful, refreshing and entertaining docs subtitled in English for our international fans.
