It was a crime that fascinated and repulsed the world over. Sada Abe (阿部 定, born 1905) was a Japanese geisha who murdered her lover, Kichizō Ishida (石田 吉蔵). The story became a national sensation in Japan. After five years in prison Abe was released and wrote her autobiography.
