Glass painting workshops still populate the surroundings of the building, like Maison Lorin, one of the last 19th century establishments still in operation. At its head, Élodie Vally contributes to the safeguard of an invaluable cultural heritage. For Jacques Loire, master glassmaker, the art of stained glass also represents a vocation. At the age of 80, the man who designed with his father Gabriel the imposing blue stained glass windows for the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin has not lost any of his creativity. He is now working on a project for a nursing school in Japan. GEO Reportage followed the different stages of its work.
