Laura Robinson Is Completely Wrong About Mythicism

Content of the Lesson: Today we are taking a look at Laura Robinson and demonstrate how wrong she is about Mythicism. They present two pieces of textual evidence that indicates Jesus' existence. One is Galatians 4:4 where Paul talks about Jesus being born of a woman. Her general methodology is good and for non-ambiguous words, it would definitely be the method I would use. But the word Paul uses for Jesus' birth is very vague and could either mean manufacture or literal birth. So we have to look at the greater context of Paul as an author. We have to figure out what is the natural meaning of the word for him and what is the natural word he would use for human birth. The other evidence is the brother of the Lord phrase from Galatians 1:19. Ian presents this as a clear-cut reference to a literal blood brother but that would mean that he would agree that Apostles engaged in odd relationships in the first century. His explanation also doesn't account for Paul's theology around familial connections in the Christian community. All along the way, Laura provides "responses" from mythicists but this is not what the strongest and factually based mythicist hypothesis concludes.
