Content of the Lesson: Hong Kong’s beautifully crafted neon signs are made by artisans in small workshops in the densely populated metropolis. As neon makes way for factory produced LED lights, some are campaigning to protect the neon signs, unique to the city. These individuals include the famous calligrapher Fung Siu Wah and the neon maker Wu Chi-kai, as well as the young journalist Cardin Chan, who encourages the last craftsmen to continue their activity by providing them with contacts and contracts.
