Content of the Lesson: Over a dozen students at this school in Quebec were radicalised. To tackle the issue, a pilot project was launched to heal divides within the student body. It's a hybrid cultural model, made up of the many cultures of its students. In 2015, a dozen students from Maisonneuve college tried to join the Islamic State in Syria. This particular type of establishment in Quebec serves as a transition between high school and higher education for young people aged 17-18. Since 2015, the school's management has set up a pilot programme to promote living together. During a school year punctuated by the trial of radicalized former students, the rise of the far right, heated debates and the distribution of food packages to poor students, the directors followed the trajectory and questions of several young people. Despite major challenges, this documentary follows the journey of a school that has managed to recreate the bond between its students. An interesting immersion in an atypical institution, the microcosm of a Quebec torn between the Anglo-Saxon multicultural model and French secularism.
