Content of the Lesson: Today we are debating the silly idea that Dinosaurs lived recently. Jonathan Guzman is proposing that they did live recently which he defends with things like a young Earth, Noah's Flood, "Soft Tissues" of dinosaurs, and the Ashley phosphate beds. He defends the premise of a young Earth with the idea of a decaying magnetic field. That assumes a linear progression of this decay and that the magnetic field did not fluctuate in the past. This is precisely opposite to what we find geologically. He has no good evidence for a flood and he completely misrepresents "soft tissue" finds. The Ashley phosphate beds are explained by simple wind and water erosion mixing up the bones of different species from multiple different layers of the geologic column.
