Sean McDowell Fails To Prove The Bible Is True
Teacher or professor: Godless Engineer
Subject: Science, Politics
Content of the Lesson: Sean McDowell has some reasons he considers the Bible to be true. He fails to prove the bible to be true, whatever that means. He claims that because the bible has been "transmitted reliably" that indicates that what the text claims are true. It's not even true that it's been transmitted reliably. He also claims that embarrassing details like the disciples being inept could have only been written down if they were true. I don't even want to begin to understand why he thinks this. He says extra-biblical accounts confirm the bible. That's because the extra-biblical accounts ultimately come from the bible. All of his reasons are just as bad.
