Capturing Christianity's Poor Historical Evidence For The Resurrection
Teacher or professor: Godless Engineer
Subject: Science, Politics
Content of the Lesson: Today we are going to be discussing the poor historical evidence for the resurrection that Cameron Bertuzzi of Capturing Christianity presents in a 3 hr interview. For one he presents them as experts but they aren't experts in history. They also aren't experts on Christian theology because they get basic things about Paul wrong. So I have no idea what they are experts on except maybe Christian apologetics. They present some historical sources that supposedly prove that Jesus was crucified, died, buried, and then resurrected. There are the usual sources like Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny, Suetonius, and they use Paul. But they claim that paul historically investigated the resurrection of Jesus. He did not. That would have completely nullified him as an apostle if that is what he did.
