Doctor Anna's Imaginarium: Colon cancer and colonoscopies - Doctor Anna's Imaginarium Podcast Ep.8
Teacher or professor: Doctor Anna's Imaginarium
Subject: Medical
Content of the Lesson: Doctor Anna talks colorectal cancer with Eric Mayer and Jason Liggett, Ph.D from EDP biotech, a company that is focused on early detection methods for this devastating disease. What are adenomas? Why should I do a colonoscopy? How many die each year from colon cancer? _____ My father died of colon cancer at the age of 47 (I'm 40) so going in for regular colonoscopies and removing adenomas is very important for me. Polyps sometimes form in the colon and are mostly benign. A colonoscopy is a rather simple procedure and not bothersome. The only bothersome part is the preparation which is rather shitty badum-tish. Don't be afraid of this procedure if you need one. It's easy-peasy! Take care of your health!
