Content of the Lesson: I paid a visit to 24/7 Flat Earth Discord the other day. After spending some 30 min identifying myself as a glober and listening to a Scottish Flerf try to convince me the earth was really flat, a mod stepped in and approved me for voice chat. The screener didn't like me saying my best proof of the globe earth was '2500 plus years of science and photos of the spherical earth from space' and wanted me to give my 'one best proof' which is an old flerf tactic, but I refused to play. He then called me a liar when I told him I saw Apollo 17 launch and go into space with my own eyes. Then I found my Dunning Kruger pigeon 'Doxie' dominating the conversation and telling everyone rockets can't work in space. Then Zander (a pilot) came in to discuss the 'Heads Up Display' and how it proves curvature. The rest is comedic gold and an example of how flat earth defends its narrative with willful ignorance.
