Ahh yes... Politics. Politics is something I find quite important because the policies that our politicians implement can drastically affect the quality of life of people living in a country. Unfortunately it isn't always clear what the best way to do that is. Though sometimes it is clear what the best way isn't, and it often feels like people want to distract from that with meaningless quips and slogans. That is what politics in New Zealand seems to have become in the lead up to the next election, and I swear it wasn't always like this.
