Lofi Girl For Nerds | Radio Jove | Solar Flares

This is live solar activity from SpaceWeatherLive.com and my Radio Jove set up. During the day we monitor for solar flares and at night for Radio Activity from Jupiter. Quick update- I am now using a tuned antenna (20.1MHz) and the signal is cleaner. On the left of the screen is SpaceWeatherLive.com with current solar activity. On the right is my SDR tuned to 22MHz. Most Solar/Jupiter activity is around 20.0-20.5MHz so look for wide, amorphous and slanted signals coming in from the right. The diagonal lines are called 'sweepers' and are radio ionosondes monitoring the ionosphere. They are located down by the Gulf of Mexico and are a good calibration signal to make sure the SDR is tuned and adjusted properly. Solid vertical lines are shortwave time signals and such. This is mostly for those familiar with it. I'm still learning about it myself and once I am comfortable with my understanding I'll do a video on this topic.
