Lofi Girl For Nerds |Radio Jove | Solar Flares

This is live solar activity from SpaceWeatherLive.com and my Radio Jove set up. During the day we monitor for solar flares and at night for Radio Activity from Jupiter. We are looking for bright, feathery vertical traces which are radio bursts from Jupiter (related to the orbit of Io and most likely when Jupiter is in the red spots on the prediction graph- Jupiter is the brown spot). The horizontal lines are local and broadcast radio transmissions. The diagonal line that pops up every now and again is a radar sweep originating on the Gulf Coast, it may be sounding the Ionosphere or be defense or law enforcement related. Vertical lines are more likely radio transmissions from Jupiter, solar flares or coronal mass ejections. Sharp vertical lines are lightning, both local and distant. This is mostly for those familiar with it. I'm still learning about it myself and once I am comfortable with my understanding I'll do a video on this topic.
