Live Imaging | Pillars of Creation
Tonight we are using the 8 inch RC to image a very famous deep sky object, the 'Pillars of Creation' in the Eagle Nebula. We should start about 11pm when it is dark enough to align and focus the telescope. I've moved the Exos2 Mount to the Observation Platform from the tree stump pier for a better view of the sky and more stability. I took the opportunity to fill the pier with 20kg of sand to dampen vibrations, so it should be an excellent session. Join me on discord for a higher resolution image. After an hour of imaging we'll hit targets of opportunity until I get tired. We'll start at 11pm.
