🇪🇺 European Night of Ideas - at the Collège de France 🇫🇷

Trailer for our upcoming #LiveStream from the Collège de France - this Saturday at 19:00 GMT / 20:00 CET To celebrate the French presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Institut Français will host a special event with young representatives from the 27 Member States of the #EU: an evening of debate and eloquence organised at the Collège de France in Paris. 50 young people, hailing from different European nations, will speak on the challenges of tomorrow's Europe. The evening will be hosted by key European leaders in research, civil society and public authorities. They will contribute to the broad public debate on the future of Europe. The European Night of Ideas was conceived several months ago as part of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union, as a major festive event for European youth. The young participants who will be coming to Paris on Saturday will present their own personal plans and proposals for the future of Europe. They will be doing so in a context which has changed dramatically due to the events which are taking place at this very moment in Ukraine. Live from the Collège de France, the evening takes place in two stages: 1st PART – Proposal for Europe: Twelve young Europeans present twelve public policy proposals combining content and eloquence, around the three major contemporary issues for which they are committed: the environment, the European Union and the world, rights and freedoms of citizens. 2nd PART – Europe in debate: Nine young people discuss with a panel of personalities on the proposals made and on the major issues of the European Union.
