How Tall the Mountain?



One way of determining the height of an object you cannot directly measure is to use the method of Al Biruni when he used a hill to measure the radius of the earth. Using the trigonometric function of the tangent we take two angles to the top of a mountain and show how to use that data to find how tall the mountain.
