"You Just Want to be Your Own God" | Dumb Things People Say to Atheists, Part 12

You've probably heard some version of this one.  Whether it's explicitly saying we want to be our own gods or just telling us we're full of pride and think we know better than God, the underlying accusation is that we on some level know God exists but - like the devil - buck his authority because we think we know better.
